Massanutten Has Special Ski Days For (Almost) Everyone

Massanutten in McGaheysville, Va., has a range of special programs and offers designed for a wide range of interests.

College Days are Wednesdays and Fridays through March 4 for students with valid college ID. An 8-Hour Slope-Use Ticket costs $30; rentals are $20.

Monday Night Madness runs 4 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Feb. 28. Ski or ride for $27; rentals are $17. Take part in a free beginner group lesson at 5 or 6 p.m.

School's Out Special is for snow days, when students and teachers can hit the sloeps for $25; rentals are $20.

Scout Day offers Scout Troops and family members access to the slopes on March 6. Cost is $45 for lift ticket, lesson, and equipment rental.

Tubing Specials offer Tubing for Two Tuesdays for $10; Student Days offer tubing Wednesdays for $10, with ID; Property Owner Days offer tubingThursdays for any Massanutten property owner, for $10.

Massanutten also offers a selection of lodging packages that bundle accommodations with skiing and snowboarding.

Massanutten Resort in winter means days spent on an 1,100-foot vertical drop with great views of the Blue Ridge mountains. Ski down the 3,300-foot Diamond Jim or the 4,100-foot Para-dice. The terrain park is for riders, skiboarders, and twin tip skiers. All of the slopes are lit at night.
