Saddleback Maine in Rangeley is offering PEAK Season Passes to honor roll students in the six New England states.
General Manager Chris Farmer says the passes are available under PEAK, the Promoting Education and Activity for Kids Program, to all students who make the honor roll.
Farmer says Maine students pay $59 for the season passes, students in the other five New England states - Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire - pay $99.
"What better way to celebrate a student's success in school this year than by getting outside and hitting the slopes," Farmer said.
Saddleback's PEAK Program was launched in 2009 originally to reward Maine honor roll students in kindergarten through grade 12. The program was expanded to include all New England students K-12 who make the honor roll. It is intended to encourage students to perform well in school, to help curb childhood obesity, and to promote enjoyment of winter sports.
Students should bring a list from their school showing the name among honor roll students, a report card, or letter from the school principal or superintendent. Saddleback Maine accepts any honor roll criteria set by the schools.
