Where do you go if you live in the Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Louisville, Lexington quadrant and like to ski or snowboard?
Think close to home. Think Perfect North Slopes near Lawrenceburg, Ind. It's only about a half-hour from Cincinnati and less than two hours from the other three; all interstate driving.
Perfect North offers a 400-foot vertical drop, 22 trails, and two terrain parks, all serviced by five chairlifts and six surface tows. There's a 22-lane tubing park with its own lifts and a dedicated beginner area away from the main slopes with a carpet lift for easy access. It even offers some double-black-diamond glade runs.
For those new to the sport the ski area offers an introductory lesson to everyone with the purchase of a lift ticket.
No need to drive hours to ski resorts further north and east for a weekend getaway. Perfect North partners with nearby lodging properties in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky for weekend lift and lodging packages that offer easy access to the slopes, and many include a breakfast. Package rates start from $139 per night for two adults. Most are within 20 to 30 miles of the ski area.
