Lift/Lodging Packages For Two At Giants Ridge Under $140

Giants Ridge, located along Minnesota's Iron Range near Biwabik, is offering a $139 midweek lift and lodging package for two people that is good Jan. 3 through March.

The package includes an overnight stay Sunday through Thursday night and skiing or riding for two people Monday through Friday.  The package is good for either the slopeside Lodge at Giants Ridge or the roomier, nearby Villas at Giants Ridge. New this winter is a tubing park complete with its own rope tow, which opens Dec. 26 for the holidays. The park will be open on weekends all winter long. The cost is $15 per person for a two-hour session.

The Ridge offers 35 slopes and two terrain parks.  Giants Job, an intermediate terrain park features several rails, boxes, foot kickers, a quarter pipe and half pipe. Mini Shred, a beginner terrain park, includes smaller features, rails and kickers.

Winter enthusiasts love the craggy peaks, miles of endless forests and deep snowfall for skiing and riding that you find along the Gopher State's Iron Range.  On a sunny day, from high atop the 550-foot ski hill, the view seems to stretch as far north as Hudson Bay.

Dress warmly, because the legendary cold that the Iron Range is famous for is no myth. These hardy residents take pride in their region's reputation as "America's Icebox."
