Tremblant, Quebec's premier resort, offers a Student Pass that saves money while opening the way to unlimited skiing and riding.
Buy the pass before Jan. 3 and the price is $299. Wait until after that and the price goes up $100.
So the obvious question is, "Why wait?" If one is smart enough to be in school, the answer should be just as obvious.
The Student Pass gives full access to Tremblant's 95 trails and snow parks. No blackout dates means season-long access to that terrain.
Edge-to-edge snowmaking means conditions will be as good as possible.
Can it get any better? Well, maybe a little.
The pass is available to full-time students age 16 to 29.
The price is less than that for four adult lift tickets, which cost $75 apiece starting Dec. 17 through closing day.
Tremblant, about 80 miles north of Montreal, is the region's largest ski area. This premier mountain offers 94 runs on four faces, a total of 630 acres of skiable terrain served by a variety of lifts including a gondola and high-speed chairs, with a longest run of 4 miles. Tremblant sees 2.3 million visitors to its year-round facilities. People come for magnificent views of the Laurentian mountains, lakeside recreation, golf, dining in 38 restaurants or shopping in 48 boutiques.
