Willamette Pass Resort fans need to act fast to get a season pass. The resort launched its fall season pass sale Oct. 18, and the sale is a quickie, based on a limited number available passes.
The resort sells a limited number of season passes during the sale that runs for an undetermined duration. "We run the sale for a short period of time until we run out of the limited quantity," owner Tim Wiper told OnTheSnow. "It could run into November, but might even be at rack rate by Nov. 1. It's pretty short term."
Gold Passports, the season passes that grants unlimited lift access at the resort, are available during the sale with no increase in rates from last year's prices. The passes cost $399 for adults, $299 for students, and $249 for youth during the sale. After the sale, rates increase by $50-100.
Families of four can purchase passes at $999 with proof of dependents. Family rates increase to $1,200 after the sale. Passes for additional children cost $99 each.
Gold Passport holders get several benefits, including unlimited access for day skiing, night skiing, and Nordic trails. Passholders can use the ski corral free and get a free equipment check and wax in the rental shop. Passholders also can ride the Willamette Pass Express bus for $10 instead of $15.
Gold Passports are available for purchase online. The resort also offers a Silver Passport, available once the ski season gets going. "You join a club and pay as you go," explained Wiper. The resort's popular 5-Day Super Passes are available for those who won't visit the resort enough to get the benefit from a full season pass.
