Bear Mountain, Snow Summit Schedule Uniform Discount Days

Bear Mountain and Snow Summit in Southern California have scheduled eight special days this winter to honor those in uniform. Discounted lift tickets are available for those who work in the military and other public services on those days.

Uniform Days at Bear Mountain and Snow Summit give those who serve in law enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, firefighters, and active military personnel discounts on lift tickets. The discounts are available at the ticket window upon presentation of valid identification from work.

Discounted tickets on Uniform Days run $38 compared to regular adult tickets costing $56 on weekdays. The discounted tickets are valid for the lifts at both resorts on the same day, and a free 10-minute shuttle runs between them every half hour.

The eight Uniform Days are scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout this winter. The days are Jan. 5-6, Feb. 2-3, March 9-10, and April 6-7.

Lodging is available at Big Bear Lake, a 10-minute drive from the ski hills. Condos, cabins, hotels, vacation homes, and bed-and-breakfast inns can be booked online or by phone through Big Bear Lake Resort Association. Big Bear Lake features a hostel for budget lodging and luxury lodges for the upscale.
