As if riding a zip line wasn't a thrilling enough adventure, Boyne Mountain is turning its Zipline Adventure into the Zip of Terror for Halloween weekend.
The haunted happening takes place Friday and Saturday nights, Oct. 29-30, from 6 p.m. to around midnight. Witches and ghosts won't be the only ones flying through the night this Halloween. Only the light of the moon and glow sticks guide you along the Zipline Adventure.
Zombies, goblins, and things that go bump in the night will accompany you as you zip through the woods at speeds up to 25 miles an hour with drops over 50 stories. It's not recommended for the faint of heart.
Cost is $45 per person, or $40 per person for parties of five or more. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling the number below. Nightly hotel lodging starts at $79.
Boyne still has midweek dates left for its guaranteed lowest lift and lodging package of the 2010-11 season. Weekend dates are gone. The offer starts from $83 per person, per night, based on double occupancy, and includes a hot breakfast, an unlimited daily lift ticket, and tubing. Only 20 packages at the discounted price are offered per night.
