Brian Head Resort has rolled back season ticket prices until Nov. 2 with a 15 percent across-the-board savings.
The southern Utah ski area also touts innovation and flexibility in their preseason ticket sales through the transferable Freedom Pass, dual-tier senior and young adult passes, and the two-person Buddy Pass.
“We want to accommodate as many different demographics as we can,” Sales and Marketing Manager Jon Christofferson told OnTheSnow. “For instance, we had couples ask for a discount because the two of them buy a ticket together. So we created the Buddy Pass.”
The Buddy Pass costs $839 through Nov. 2, as opposed to $979 after that date. Brian Head also gives skiers and riders ages 19-25 a $100 break over the preseason pass price of $479 for those up to 61 years old.
The Freedom Pass that costs $859 before Nov. 2 -- and $989 afterwards – can be used by anyone who comes to Brian Head. Visitors 62 and older get a major break with the Senior Silver ticket going for $219 through Nov. 2 ($249 thereafter), but patrons age 70 and older get an even better deal: $139 early, $159 regular.
Brian Head Resort boasts eight lifts and 65 trails for skiers, snowboarders, and snow tubers. The 650-acre mountain focuses on the southern Utah and Las Vegas markets. The resort property went up for sale last spring, but Christoferson said he hadn’t heard of any serious offers yet.
The property includes 1,106 acres, a tubing hill, snowmaking facilities, lodges, a dozen finished real estate lots on 13 acres, 1,744 acres for the planned community of Alpine Creek, and a golf course. One hundred fifty-six acres at the base of Giant Steps has been zoned for residential and commercial development as part of a future ski resort village.
