Arizona Snowbowl Season Ski Pass Has Familiar Price, New Partners

Skiers and riders in Flagstaff won’t suffer from sticker shock this season, as Arizona Snowbowl’s season ticket prices will remain the same as they have for the past decade.

The northern Arizona ski area will once again charge $699 for a season-long ski pass – the same as it’s been for the last 10 years. the season pass costs only $399. If purchased before Oct. 18.

Skiers and riders can download a season pass contract online (see below). College students with a minimum of nine credit-hours pay $299 through Oct. 17, or $499 thereafter. Students in grades 8-12 get a $249 discounted pass through Oct. 17, or $399 after that date. Skiers or riders age 70 or older receive the deepest discount of $19 for preseason purchase, or $29 after Oct. 17.

An Arizona Snowbowl pass also brings discounts on day tickets at Durango Mountain Resort, Telluride Ski Resort, Monarch Ski and Snowboard Area, and Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort. The season pass affords discounts on food, equipment repair, group lessons, and other purchases in the Flagstaff area.

Snowbowl once again will rely upon natural snowfall to cover its 32 slopes and trails. Ski area owners have been trying to bring snowmaking to the mountain since 2002 but failed in another attempt this fall. Marketing director Dave Smith told OnTheSnow that Snowbowl officials hope to resolve legal issues with northern Arizona tribes soon so that construction of a 15-mile pipeline to the top of Humphrey’s Peak can begin in time for operations next season.
