Buy a season's ski pass at The Balsams before Dec. 1 and get last season's pricing.
The resort's "All Property Pass" includes alpine, Nordic, and snowshoe trail access all season long.
Single adult passes are $399. A family of two pays $599. A family of three pays $749. Students K through 12 are $199. Kids 5 and under are free.
The passes are good for all access, all season long, with no blackout dates.
This season The Balsams has partnered with Golf and Ski Warehouse in the retail ski shop, and pass holders will receive 10 percent off hard goods and 20 percent off apparel and accessories.
The Balsams Grand Resort Hotel traces its origins to the 1860s, when it was founded as the Dix House, a 25-room guest lodge. It became The Balsams in 1895, and has so remained.
It is a luxurious, sprawling hotel, with fireplaces and cozy nooks scattered around its many sitting rooms.
It has a world-class kitchen, and many guests go for the food as much as the other activities.
It has been the first place to register results in Presidential Primaries since 1960, as the few dozen registered voters in Dixville Notch gather in the Ballot Room of The Balsams just before midnight, and all cast ballots at once in a process that takes about a minute.
