Durango Mountain Resort's season pass sale is underway and the deadline is rapidly approaching for discounted prices. Season passes will be going up by as much as $100 Oct. 17.
Pass holders get a lot of perks like 10 free days of skiing/riding at Kirkwood in California; half-price lift tickets at nearby Crested Butte; three free days at Monarch Mountain; half-price lift tickets at Arizona Snowbowl; and, three free days at Taos.
"A lot of our clientele come from the Southwest," explained Durango Mountain's Beth Holland. "If we can enhance the value of our season pass with perks at nearby resorts, it just makes it more of a bargain for them."
Prior to that an adult pass is $799 and kid's pass (6-12), purchased with an adult pass, are $179. A kid's individual pass by itself is $319. A student pass (13 through 12th grade) is currently $409, and a college student pass (12 credit hours) is $499. A Silver Senior pass (62-69) is $529, and a Golden pass (70+) is $199.T
The Weekday pass is currently $539 for those that don't like weekend crowds anyway. Weekday pass holders can purchase one lift ticket per day during weekends throughout the season, with a couple of blackout dates, for $52. Regular adult 2010-11 season rates will be $67 daily and $75 during holiday periods.
