Arizona Snowbowl Spreads Discounts Around

Students, women, families – even baby boomers – get recognition at Arizona Snowbowl this spring with discounts and special programs.

To begin with, management at the northern Arizona mountain shows its pro-education side by offering $29 lift tickets for any student 13 years or older, with proper identification. This promotion runs all the way through the month of March. Students ages 8-12 pay only $12.

Next, women skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels can enroll in a women-only clinic on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost is $75 and includes a lift ticket and lunch. Newcomers who fork over $79 get the lesson, rentals, ticket and lunch. For season passholders at Arizona Snowbowl, the women’s clinic costs $19. For information, click here

For families who can scoot up the mountain on Friday afternoons, the deal is $10 each for a lift ticket, rentals or beginner’s lesson – all after 2 p.m. The beginner lessons run 3:30-5 p.m. on the Hart Prairie chair, Sunset chair and Little Spruce conveyor belt, which stay open until 6 p.m. For information, click here

And, the overworked, underappreciated baby boomer generation finally gets some props with Boomer Thursdays. An all-day lift ticket will run $29 for anyone 50 years or older. Clinics are complementary. For information, click here
