Free-wheeling skiers and snowboarders will compete for the season championships in the Winter Dew Tour at Snowbasin.
Slated for Feb. 10-13, the competition pits the best professional in superpipe and slopeside events for both skiers and snowboarders. The event closes out the three-stop Winter Dew Tour that is now in its third year, with competitions at Breckenridge, Colo., Killington, Vt., and Snowbasin in northern Utah.
Both slopeside and pipe events take place within walking distance of the Festival Village at Snowbasin, including the resort’s 22-foot superpipe. There is no charge for spectators, although a Mega Pass that gives access to athletes, area discounts and Dew swag can be had for $35 by clicking here.
Competition begins on Friday, Feb. 10, with women’s semifinals in snowboard slopeside. Both men and women attempt to qualify for the finals all day Friday. Finals run on Saturday and Sunday, with women superpipe kicking things off at 11 a.m. on Saturday and end with the men’s freeskiing slopeside event at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
In conjunction with the Dew Tour event will be the finals of the amateur Gatorade Free Flow, an eight-stop regional tour whose winners get an automatic berth in next year’s Winter Dew Tour.
