Eagle Rock's Low Profile Means Fewer Crowds

Eagle Rock may get overshadowed by some of the more widely known resorts in Pennsylvania's Poconos, but it offers guests all the amenities found at larger complexes at reasonable costs and without large crowds. The Rock's 14 trails range from green circle rankings to black diamonds. Trails are lighted for night skiing and riding. The Jib Park offers 16 rails, a rhythm section, gaps, and jumps. The half pipe is 1,000 feet long. There's also a new tubing park.

The Friday Family Night program at Eagle Rock is one of the most cost-effective in the state. Lift tickets for four and tubing costs $60. Additional family members pay $15.  Regular all-day lift tickets cost 42 for adults and $28 for youths 7 to 15 years of age. Adults 60 and older pay $15. Night tickets from 4 to 10 p.m. cost $28 for both age groups. Children ages six and under ski or ride free anytime.

An overnight lift and lodging package at the resort starts at $198 at The Inn for two adults, double occupancy, including two lift tickets, tubing, and access to the fitness and activities center. Single rooms or suites are available. Up to two children 12 and under ski or ride free when staying in the same accomodations with two adults on a ski and stay package. The Inn sits at the top of the trail complex unlike most resorts. Lessons are offered Friday to Sunday. Rentals are available for $30.
