This fall has been packed with ski area 50th birthday parties, and today it's Stratton's turn. Stratton even got an taste from the rarest of treats this year: snow.

The resort awoke to 4 inches of fresh snow and a forecast that’s followed through on its promise for continued snowfall.

It’s shaping up to be a stellar birthday, a white Christmas and a holiday full of turns for all. Mountain Operations unveiled 12 more trails today, hiking the trail count to 30, and plans to continue opening new trails through the holiday week.
