The new Sesselbahn Lattenalm chairlift is the first to have heated seating in the Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000.
The Eggalmbahnen lift company began construction on the Sesselbahn Lattenalm in July 2009. The project cost approximately €5.5 million and has been completed in time for this winter season.
The new lift transports skiers to the Eggalm ski area in just over three minutes. Also new for this winter season is the production of artificial snow on Rastkogel.
The Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000 ski area is made up of 227 kilometres of ski runs linked by 59 modern lifts. Apres-ski facilities feature 30 huts and restaurants with panoramic views across the valleys.
The highlight of the area is the Hintertux Glacier. This year-round ski area has guaranteed powder between October and May and panoramic viewpoints. Snowboarders and freestyle skiers can head to the BetterPark Hintertux at the draglift Olperer.
Tux stretches over eight kilometres and comprises the villages of Tux-Vorderlanersbach, Tux-Lanersbach, Juns, Madseit and Hintertux. The villages of Tux are small and characteristically Tyrolean. Finkenberg is a small village situated on a sunny plateau at the entrance of Tuxertal.
