This is excelant news, as we are taking our 2 young children for the 1st time at the end of Jan09 and while they are at ski school this will give us a greater ski/boarding challenge.
Fantastic, My wife and i cant wait to go there in Jan10 09. We are hopeing and watching each day for an abundance of the white stuff. First time in Pamporovo and we heard its beautiful. Roll on Jan09.
Arrive there on the 31st of January 2009. First visit to Pamporovo. Been given a cracking deal. So looking forward to it. Wife and 5 year old boy are skiing for the first time so I am sure the ski schools which have been given excellent reviews will look after them. Found the other customers reviews from previous seasons so helpful. Will report when I return.
Hi Guys im going with the other half on 24th jan 09 its my 4th time ski-ing but first time in bulgaria and the first time for my girlfriend which was one of the reasons for choosing pamporovo im looking forward to hearing how the slopes are looking from the people who are there at the minute. had a look on here and it says there are only 2 slopes open is this right ? (hope not) see you on the pistes ;)
hi there i am of there again on 17th janruary and back on the 24th at the moment apparently there is 25% of runs open at the moment but viewing the webcams there seems to be more snow than there now than when i was there last year. Majority of runs were open last time with less snow. There is an approx fall of 5-6 inches of fall by this weekend and then hopefully a little more during the week. If you would like some excellent instruction for your girlfriend then i would recommend the SHOKY school of ski.£100gbp paid for my six days tuition and included ski and boot hire. I will let you have update mid week and give you a on piste eport
Hi everyone, myself, partner and 2 young children are going to pamp mid march. First time in Bulgaria, sounds fantastic!!!!, though little worried about small amount of snow fall recently. Any tips on where to eat. Hope you all have a fantastic time, keep fingers crossed for plenty of white stuff for EVERYONE!!!!!
got back from pamporovo on sunday and had a great time we were very lucky with the snowfall unlike the week before were it rained for 3 days, all the runs were open as were all the lifts the only problem we found is the instructors taking us to the most expensive places (£3 for a plastic bottle of coke £8 for a small pizza) at dinner time so that they could get their commission we caught on to this after the second day and decided to try some others we found that the best was the 3Lev (named so because evrything costs 3lev (£1.50)) which is an octagon type cabin just between the top station and the middle station, one more peice of advice i emplore you do NOT go to the ski instructors caberet show its 26 levs (£13) and is possibly the least proffessional "thing" i have been to, it was neither funny nor entertaining and im ussually easy to please ;) i know your saying "well its only £13 " but beleive me it was simply awful spend your money on more beer or the bulgarian bbq night thanks si
I will report on our return.
I will report on return
