    We have been going to Afton Alps for about 10 years and love it. Once we graduated to mountains we started going to CO., but still love to go up to the Alps on a Thursday when it is less busy, ski, stay overnight and return home on Friday. The slopes are always well maintained, people are kind, and there are enough variations in the runs to satisfy any skier from beginner to experienced. At one time they offered 2 for 1 lift tickets on Thursdays, hope they still do. We planned to go up last year, but the day of the trip the temps reached the 50's so changed our plans. Bummer! It is a wonderful place to ski for a warm up to the season, learn, and just have fun when you don't have the time or money to travel to the mountains or if you would just rather ski at a good ski area closer to home. Afton meets all of those elements.
