Pennsylvania has a similar program for 4th/5th graders. Anyone (state residents or not) can download an application and hit the slopes! The SnowPass booklet contains one free "learn to ski" coupon along with 3 free lift tickets at each of the 22 participating resorts. That has the potential to be over 60 days of free skiing, and it doesn't cost parents anything!

    Check it out at www.skipa.com.

    Addendum from Shannon Luthy:

    >> Vail Resorts has changed their four-day $99 pass to a four-day free pass to sixth graders, at their four
    >> Colorado resorts. The company will refund the $99 to those who already have registered for the sixth grade “School
    >> of Shred program. Call 888-215-3867, if that applies to you.
    >>
    >> Show up at any resort season pass office, with Mom or Dad and a report card, school I.D., or birth certificate that
    >> proves youâ€re in sixth grade, if you havenâ€t signed up for this wicked cool deal yet. The child must be present to get
    >> his or her picture taken.
    >>
    >> Passes will be loaded with four ski days (for each resort = 16 total days) and also will be enabled with radio
    >> frequency technology to allow for a hassle-free “easy scan process, eliminating the need to physically present the
    >> pass in the lift lines this season. Passes are non-transferable.
