I am always reading on websites and magazines about all these fancy places to ski and stay. Fancy=expensive. I have a family of seven. I can not afford to stay and ski at all these fancy and expensive high service areas. I need to know how to get the least expensive lifts tickets and what the best discount hotel/motel in the area is, how is thier continental breakfast. I probably won't be in ski in ski out accomodations so what are some options for me to enjoy this sport without a second mortgage. I realize that I am not going to be skiing in the largest resorts with the biggest vert or staying slopside but I can afford to ski there. I am familiar with four areas in South Dakota and Wyoming in which I can ski on the cheap. I will start to blog these areas and how ski without breaking the bank.

Any inexpensive tips will be great for all im sure, we live in manchester, England and some budget airlines go to ski destinations at good prices, but could do with knowing how long the drive is from different airports to ski villages ect. for example if we fly to Oslo Torp where is the nearest ski place from there????
