I am planning a trip to go skiing out west in the 2010-2011 season and was wonding what time the snow and overall the experience is best. I was going to go around Christmas time however I know it gets busy around that time. If some one could give me so insight that would be great.

It is busy and more expensive during Christmas. Most resorts bump up prices from Dec. 22 through MLK weekend January 20ish.

Plus, this past winter, the snow wasn't good at all during the holidays. The best snow was from February - April. So my word of advice is: Come in late February or early March and you'll be sure to find some powder!
