So, Killington announced a May 2 closing date. For Eastern skiers used to having the option of not needing an airplane until after Memorial Day, this is a bit depressing. Actually, most of what's been happening at Killington since the sale to Powder is a bit depressing. C'mon guys, I realize its a business too but, do you really need to work on alienating the locals and the entire skiing community like you have been? Does anyone really think your obscene price for a mid-week ticket is a bargain when you won't even run the Canyon chair. Its such a pleasure to ski Downdraft and then have to ski right past the base of the closed Canyon chair on the runout of doom to the K1 gondola. (Ok, ok ASC pulled this one too) I just wish the local merchants good luck.

Anyway, Jay just announced May 4 as thier close. A new New England spring king!! Go Jay!! (Go past Killington...)

I so agree!! Killington has taken what was a good day trip mountain and turned it into a place that caters to those ski bunnies that wear furry hats. They have some great terrian at Killi but they need to let those of us who can ski it have at it....
Yeah for Jay staying open the latest in the East?
