When to Elk on Friday March 13 and I have to say for spring skiing the conditions were great. The only con about Friday is that all the moguls were hard as rock, but that was surely expected. Aside from that the mountain was totally empty and we skied hard. Elk is planning on being open until March 28 but that's a long shot. Spring carnival is the 21 and they're planning in blowing snow all this week. Out of all the runs Slalom is the best run open now it's in the shade and it's nice and powdery. Only a few trails were closed last week but if I am correct the staff wants to open all trails for spring carnival. So everyone get up to Elk for beautiful spring skiing before it's too late!
