Talking with some friends the other day we hit on the topic of towns you can still live/work/ski. You know, where you can afford to be the proverbial ski bum.
Steamboat? Nope!
Bend? Nope!
Frisco? Nope!
Truckee? Nope!
Don't even think of Aspen, Vail, Sun Valley, even Jackson Hole.
Then we thought of a place.
Oakridge, Oregon. Not on your radar?
Well, it could be. 30 minutes from some truly good steep and deep terrain at Willamette Pass. Hiking, mt biking, kayaking, fishing, climbing all around you in the skiing off season.
Check it out. The resort is willamettepass.com
