So, skip the trip to Utah this week. Eighteen degrees, seven inches in 24 hours, 20 inches new this week. You know it is going to be nasty at many resorts within half a day's drive of the Pacific Ocean. So, keep it close, you can be pounding your nostrils with snow in an hour and a half. The Eagle Peak Accelerator allows you to rack up Heli Skiing like vertical - up to 13000 feet per hour if your legs and lungs can handle it.

Get outta town and get up and ski or ride this heavily forrested, black diamond gifted blessing of a nearby resort. Seriously folks, when the Pacific has storms stacked up half way to Kamchatka you want to shirk your responsibilities and feed your needs at Willamette Pass. No hanging onto the chair as you bounce off the towers. No getting blown backward as you deplane at the top. Trees over 200 feet tall and the biggest/fastest lift in the State of Oregon save you from these travesties of exposure. You can find untracked pow late into the day. If you need help stop in at Guest Services and see if I can meet you, guide you, thrill you. I've only been skiing this place since I was 2 1/2 years old. Oh, I can still make it down the slopes ok, so you won't have to wait too long for me as we rocket back to the top on the EPA. Your legs get a little weary we will ride the Peak 2 chair so you have time to recover. At least once we will hike West Peak and show you some side-country aspects that you will write home about.

Even the Terrain Parks have been ramped up this year thanks to the work by our pro rider bros from Tactics Boardshop. Be there Fridays at 6pm for an incredible schwag give-a-way. $2 PBR's? $5 plate of spaghetti and salad? You really can afford to ski often at a place like this.

Check it OUT!

yeah, you are right. And I am open about it. Started skiing at Willamette when I was 2.5 years old. I want to see the skier visits get to the point that they can install another lift, all northside...all steep deep and narrow. Come on out and visit and I will show you a "little" family owned resort that can kick your butt and surprise you.

    hasta...

Snowmystr - you've gotta be shilling for the resort....most people would want to keep 20" of new snow to themselves! ;)
