OK, fine...yes. I'm over 40. OK, over 45...yikes! Skiing is tough on old, 'been there, done that' knees. Hard on the shoulders, back...all my parts! Getting old is not for wussies...ya gotta be strong to get old! So, I've incorporated yoga into my daily routine. It's not just the flexibility thing that helps, it's the core strength, balance, breathing...the whole deal! Don't go to a big ol' gym and expect a great yoga class. Find a private studio that specializes in yoga. (I go to Icyan yoga in Reno.) Tell the instructor you're a skier and they'll try to focus on knees, hamstrings, core strength. You brush your teeth every day, right? Get up, go to yoga.
