I'm curious as to whether others on the site have seen teh movie "Steep", now out on DVD and Blu-ray. The production qualities (at least in the Blu-ray version) are terrific, with some absolutely gorgeous footage of places like Chamonix and Valdez, Alaska.

Unlike a typical Warren Miller filick (which I love, don't get me wrong..), this film is a serious documnetary about the evolution of extreme skiing, beginning with the first ski descent of the Grand Teton. It has some great interviews with people like the late Doug Coombs.

If you are stuck at home and wishing you were skiing, watching 'Steep" in Blu-ray on a big screen is the next best thing...highly recommneded!
