Went to see the Warren Miller Film over the weekend at the Berklee Theater in Boston. It's a yearly tradition for my friends and I, and it always feels like the beginning of ski season, even if we still have a few more weeks to go here in the northeast.
The film was great as always, though I have to admit, it's still tough for me to get used to minimal commentating by Warren Miller. Of course I understand it, but its a tough transition after so many years. Great clips as always though, and it definitely gets you pumped up for the season. Unfortunately we've had a lot of rain around here recently, and warm temps as well. Hopefully that won't put too much of delay on the season.

A couple years ago my friend and I headed up to Waterville for their opening weekend. We weren't able to get away for more than a day, and despite the fact that they had 8 trails open, we couldn't resist. 8 trails (and for anyone who's been to Waterville, you know these are all short!), but we had a blast. Just being on the mountain was good enough!

The Boston Ski and Snowboard Expo kicks off this Thursday at the Bayside Expo Center. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out, especially if you're in need of any equipment. Even if you're not, it's always a good time.
