The life of a graveyard snowmaker is about as sweet as it comes, except for the sleeping part. But who needs to sleep when it is DUMPING!!!
I sat around last night eating hotdogs by a campfire. Yeah tough job snowmaking is, well that was after I dug out 3 Techno Alpin guns that were 4 feet under man made ice. Totally exhausted I sat down outside with a long sleeve and a fleece on and ate some dogs. All of the sudden the winds started kicking up and the graupel started falling. It didnt last long, but it started to get my hopes up that it would actually snow in Utah.

After another few hours of moving guns and hoses, i drove home for some breakfast, but by the time i got home i knew it was dumping up top, so I skipped the breakfast, grabbed the gear and bolted. I got 3 solid hours in before I came back here to update all of you, as well as sleep.

You see, I have a dilemna, it is rec league basketball playoffs, the snow is dumping and i could board all day. I mean in my secret stash at the can there is already 3 inches of freshie with lots more falling. On the groomers there is between 1 to 2 inches that has fallen, but the project is around 16, so we will see what happens.

But back to the idea of sleep, who needs it? With work last night, ride all day, basketball game tonight, work after that, then ride all day tomorrow, then work tomorrow night. . . yeah I better nap for a few hours, cause i am going to need the energy for the next few days, that is if the snow keeps up. . .

Thanks Pacific Northwest for sending some our way. Keep it coming. I hope when I wake up in a few hours i cant see my car. :)

For now, nap time, tonight repairing Docs, and finishing the park on Lower Respect. Tomorrow . . . POW.
