Last night in the mail I got a ticket to ride. A ticket to ride within the next 90 days to Salt Lake City. So you know what that means: I'm going going, back back, to Utah.
It's incredible. I love Utah (for skiing, at least) and it's becoming like a second home. I've skied Utah now almost more than I've skied my own home mountain here in the Midwest. It feels like I know the place now. I feel like an honorary local, although I know I'm far from it (in both knowledge of terrain and skill!). But what a terrific feeling to know that now my ski season is far from over (really due to snow conditions).

Utah, here I come. The stoke level is high. I hope there's snow so I can hike Baldy and hit some of the spots in Mineral Basin I've been scoping. I can't wait to head to Alta and ski some of the epic terrain there. I took advantage of my ski trip to Utah just last week to level up my skills. This next trip will implement those new skills. So sick.
