Yes it did snow a lot in the Alps, avalanche warnings everywhere, 3/5 ('danger marque' we say in French), even 4/5 yesterday (danger fort) - see www.prevention.ch/avalanches.htm if you ever come and ski in French speaking zones like in Courchevel, Meribel, Val d'Isere, France or Crans-Montana, Les Diablerets, Verbier, S.Switzerland
Actually it rained high end of Dec.and started to snow heavily beg. of Jan.

I think next week-end will be superb with plenty of
p.snow, sun and s. girls everywhere
Or sea sun and s. on the French Riviera in S.France with white mountains in the background
