Hidden Valley resort in Pennsylvania is pulling out the stops for the holidays with affordable activities, entertainment, and lodging packages. A stay at the resort Dec. 25 - Jan. 2 includes lift tickets 4 p.m. the day of arrival to 6 p.m. the day of departure, overnight lodging, overnight ski check, and use of the indoor heated pool, fitness room, hot tub, and volleyball, racquetball, and basketball courts depending on availability. Discounted rentals also are available.

The cost in a standard room at the Four Seasons Lodge is $128 per person, per night, double occupancy. Rates are available for a third and fourth person in the same room. Suites start at $138.

The South Ridge celebration is planned 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. New Year's Eve.  The $10 cost includes dancing, hats, noise makers, and a midnight champagne toast. There's a Land and Sea buffet spread, dubbed the Clock Tower Feast, with salads, soups, steamed shrimp, oysters, beef, pork, chicken entrees, a pasta station, and desserts; cost is $29.95

Hidden Valley was among several Pennsylvania resorts to open the weekend of Dec. 11 - 13. It then closed for several days of mild weather to preserve early season snow, and re-opened Dec. 18 for the winter.
