Ski Utah and the associating resorts recently passed out snow cones at the Salt Palace to celebrate the approaching winter season. "It is always refreshing in the dog days of summer to know that winter is just around the corner," said Ski Utah President Nathan Rafferty. "Not to mention, now is the time to purchase season passes and gear as many resorts and shops offer discounts." Brighton Resort was the first to open last year on Nov. 15. You also may hear more French on the slopes in Utah next season. Delta Air Lines has announced non-stop service to Paris, France, out of the Salt Lake City hub, beginning in June 2008.
