Canada Olympic Park offers a Snowcard that gives skiers and riders a way to save money on lift tickets. The card, designed for those who want to ski less than a season pass, grants discounts on lift tickets plus has added benefits for two Calgary retail shops.

Snowcards cost $39.99 CAD plus tax. Cardholders get one free day of skiing or snowboarding, then 25 percent off regular full day lift tickets or four-hour lift tickets. (Regular full day adult lift tickets cost $39.)

The cards are available for purchase through Jan. 31. They also grant cardholders 25 percent off tickets for the Nordic trails at Canada Olympic Park and at the First Turns Centre for beginning skiers and snowboarders.

Cardholders also get benefits at two Calgary retail shops. Ski Cellar Snowboard will pay the GST on any purchase when you show your card, and The Source gives cardholders $20 off Source-branded snowboard gear and five percent off when buying two or more boards, boots, bindings, outerwear jackets, or outerwear pants.

Those looking for gear can also get discounts on gear at the Boxing Day Blowout Sale. The sale at the Slopestyle Retail Shop in the park's Atco Centre runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 26-27. Merchandise will be discounted up to 70 percent off.
