Skiers cruise at Blue Knob in Pennsylvania.

Blue Knob is raffling off a free season pass, good for this season or next, at its New Year's Eve Party. The party features live music by rocker Norman Nardini. The party starts at 9 p.m. Cost is $15, w hich includes party favors, door prizes, a champagne special, and a midnight snack bar.

A pre-party dinner is being served at 7:30 p.m. Those who come for dinner and stay for the party pay $25 total. A free event T-shirt will be offered to the first 40 ticket purchasers for the dinner and the party.

A second night's lodging is free if you purchase two tickets to the dinner and party, and book lodging New Year's Eve. The holiday package gets even more cost effective when combined with the purchase of the Weekend Four Pack Special that includes holidays. The weekend Four Pack includes four open-to-close lift tickets for $175; that's normally $220. New Year's Eve is on a Thursday night and a two-night stay makes it easy to ski or ride Saturday with the Four Pack. The remaining lift tickets can be used anytime on weekends through April 15.

There also is a four-hour Flextime Four Pack option available for $99 but it is not good on holidays.
