The tours are designed for intermediate to advanced skiers, but Moseley leads each run into progressively more difficult terrain.
Those celebrating New Year's Eve at Squaw have two options-one for families and one for adults.
The family New Year's Eve party takes place at High Camp in the Terrace Restaurant. The event includes a cable car ride, entertainment, and dinner, along with a champagne toast. The family party celebrates on East Coast time, running the New Year's Eve countdown at 9 p.m.
The Fresh Tracks New Year's Eve Extravaganza is also at Squaw Valley, but caters to those 21 years and older. The event, which takes place at the Olympic House, is one of the biggest parties on the North Shore of Tahoe with three bars rocking to tunes from live bands and DJs. Tickets to the Fresh Tracks event cost $15 for admission to all three bars. I.D. is required for entrance.
Those surviving the late party and hitting the slopes New Year's Day can enjoy the lift operator's snow sculpture contest. Look for their entries at Shirley, KT-22, and Gold Coast.
