Snow King Resort stacks up plenty of options for New Year's Eve celebrations, including dinners and parties. It also hosts the town torchlight parade for Jackson, with many local residents skiing the torches.
The torchlight parade and fireworks start at 6:15 p.m. The best viewing is at the bottom of the slope between the tubing hill and the ice rink. Fireworks follow the parade around 7 p.m.
The Bistro Buffet in The Atrium of Snow King Lodge offers a special New Year's Eve dinner 6 - 9:30 p.m. The menu includes roast leg of pork and breast of turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salads, desserts, and non-alcoholic drinks. The buffet costs $29 per person. You can combine dinner and admission to the Snow King Resort New Year's Party for $32 per person. Dinner reservations are highly recommended.
The Lounge will also offer a special menu until 9 p.m. Items include burgers, chicken quesadillas, and chicken Caesar salad, along with select appetizers.
Snow King's famed New Year's Eve party, which is usually a sell-out, brings on dancing to live music by Aaron Davis and The Docks. Tickets are available at the door, which is open at 8:30 p.m. The party is open to those at least 21 years old, and a cash bar is available. Admission costs $5.
