Wassail Weekend is coming up Dec. 11-13 in Woodstock, Vt.
The town becomes a Christmas pageant, with troupes of singers parading through the streets, tours of historic homes, a reading of A Child's Christmas in Wales, sleigh rides at the Billings Farm and Museum, and more seasonal activities.
One highlight of the weekend is a parade of horses and wagons, surreys, and sleighs carrying people in costume through the center of town on Saturday. Another highlight of this year's event is a performance by the Vienna Boys Choir Friday evening.
Weekend events include Christmas at the Billings Farm, $11 for adults; and A child's Magical Wonderland at Woodstock Little Theatre, free, with both events running all three days.

Friday Dec. 11: Woodstock Historical Society open house 5 to 7 p.m.; the Vienna Boys Choir 7:30 p.m., reserved seats $45, show and dinner at The Woodstock Inn $85.
Saturday Dec. 12: Holiday House Tour 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., $35; several craft fairs; Homemade Soups & Chili on the Green, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Reading of A Child's Christmas in Wales,12:30 p.m. at the Norman Williams Library, free; 25th annual Wassail Parade of Horses and Riders, 2 p.m., Town Green; Yule Log and Memory Tree Lighting, 2:30 p.m., Town Green; The Ten a cappella singers, 3 p.m., Congregational Church; Family Skating, 4 to 6 p.m., Union Arena; Wassail Feast, 6:30 p.m. at The Woodstock Inn, $75 adults, $37.50 children, reservations 802-457-6621.
Sunday Dec. 13: Craft Fair 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; annual Messiah Sing, 4 p.m., Our Lady of the Snows Church.
Many other activities also take place throughout town this weekend.
