The Stevens Pass Ski and Snowboard School is offering one- and two-day camps this winter for teens and adults. The camps tackle specialty skills such as telemark, parks, bumps, and steeps.

A two-day freestyle camp aims at taking intermediate level skiers and snowboarders up a notch in terrain park skills. The adult camp geared for those ages 21 and older is scheduled for Jan. 16-17, while the teen camp open to those at least 13-years-old runs Feb. 13-14. Both focus on improving freestyle techniques and skills.

Stevens Pass hosts the Super Tele Camp on Feb. 7 for all levels of telemark proficiency, including beginners. The clinic, taught by PSIA nationally certified coaches, breaks into instructional groups for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers to develop skills most appropriate to the ability.

Two camps in March focus on building more aggressive skiers in the steeps and moguls. The Steep Ski Camp runs Mar. 6-7, building skills on the steeper slopes at Stevens Pass. The Bumps and Jumps Camp on Mar. 13-14 aims to boost intermediate to advanced skiers up a notch in bouncing through moguls and landing jumps.

One-day camps cost $99, and two-day camps cost $185. Rates do not include lift tickets or rental equipment. Call the Stevens Pass Ski and Snowboard School to register for the camps.
