Registration is now open for Autrans' Foulée Blanche, the legendary cross-country ski competition that unites professional skiers and enthusiastic amateurs.

This year the event celebrates its 32nd anniversary with a pure Scandinavian atmosphere. La Foulée Blanche runs Jan. 20-24, 2010 at the resort of Autrans, in France's Vercors mountain range. This plateau offers the perfect setting for a cross-country ski race (classic or skating style) that brings together skiers of all ages and all levels.

Each year, skiers from across the globe participate in the event, along with entire families who come to enjoy a sporty outing together. With a choice of five, 10, 20, or 42-kilometre circuits for freestyle and 10 or 25-kilometre circuits for classic style, everyone will be able to register for the race that corresponds to their physical condition.

The dates of the different races are as follows: Jan. 20 Youth Foulée; Jan. 21 Children's Foulée; Jan. 23 Classic style Foulée and snow shoe trek; and Jan. 24 Foulée Blanche (freestyle).
