The Night of Light celebration returns to Mammoth Mountain Dec. 19 this December. The long-running celebration is presented by the Southern California Ford Dealers.

The winter holiday show of lights, which takes place at Canyon Lodge, features fireworks, a torchlight parade, and live music. Village activities run from 2 to 9 p.m. with carolers roaming the streets and Santa available for photos. Concessions open at Canyon Lodge at 5 p.m. with live music following by the We Were Promised Jetpacks. The free Night of Lights show begins at 7 p.m. as crowds gather outside Canyon Lodge.

Reservations for premiere rooftop viewing of the light show must be booked by Dec. 10. Premier rooftop viewing, which costs $30 per person, offers a vantage point five stories above the crowds and includes a cash bar. Reservations are available online.

The Canyon Lodge also runs a special Night of Lights Dinner, which costs $89 per person and $25 for children ages 6-12. Two seatings are scheduled-one at 6 p.m. and one at 7:45 p.m. The buffet dinner features salads, several entrees, sides, and desserts. A special menu is available for children. Reservations are available online.

Buses run to the Village Gondola and Canyon Lodge until 10 p.m. The special event Park and Ride Shuttle will be running between Mammoth High School parking lot and the lodge.
