Keystone and Breckenridge are fully festive over Christmas and New Year's. The outdoor ice rinks are ready for skating, with beautifully decorated Christmas trees surrounding the ponds.

Santa visits Keystone's River Run Dec. 21, 22, and 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lakeside Village is alive with holiday music and carolers throughout the holiday week. The Chocolate Village is unveiled Dec. 19 in the lobby of the Keystone Lodge. Over 2,500 pounds of chocolate is sculpted into a miniature alpine village complete with a massive chocolate mountain, a working chocolate gondola, a cascading chocolate waterfall, and a 6-foot white chocolate Christmas tree with hand-blown sugar ornaments.

Keystone has a $99 guaranteed rate which includes free ski rentals with your lodging and a free night at Christmas or New Year's, as part of the Holidays On Us package. Restrictions apply.

Breckenridge is offering a holiday special. The fifth night is free with any four nights of lodging. It is good throughout the holidays this season.

Keystone and Breckenridge are offering a $79 Sunday Sleepover fare, good throughout the ski and snowboard season. It's a way of helping Colorado skiers and riders extend their weekend and avoid the Sunday night I-70 traffic. There are some blackout dates and a few other restrictions.

Remember that a Breckenridge lift ticket is also valid at Keystone. The resorts are just a short drive apart.
