At A Glance

Christmas in the Rockies is how many families spend their holidays. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is offering a holiday ski vacation at the Grand Lodge Hotel, and they say the cost is "under a grand." The deal is for a family of four. It includes four nights of lodging and three days of skiing or riding at Crested Butte, for under $1,000. A highlight of the holiday is the torchlight parade down the mountain on Christmas Eve.  The Grand Lodge is 200 yards from the chairlift making accessibility easy.

Crested Butte's Grandest Package must be booked by Dec. 17. Travel must be Dec. 18 through Dec. 26. The price is subject to availability. The package does not include fees, taxes, and optional travel protection.

Air travel options to Crested Butte are also back again, with the Friends & Family Fly Free package. Book a vacation for three or more people and every third airline ticket is free. Airlines flying into the Gunnison/Crested Butte Airport are American, United, and Delta. The maximum travel credit is $450 per free airline ticket and each reservation is limited to three free airline tickets. The program is valid Dec. 17 through April 4; however there are some blackout dates, so inquire early.
