Winter is right around the corner, which means the University of Nevada, Reno’s Winter Sports Club will be hosting their 30th Annual Ski & Board Swap on Friday, Nov. 11 through Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
This is arguably the biggest ski swap around Reno/Tahoe, and will offer deep discounts on new and used gear for all ages. There will be alpine and Nordic ski equipment, snowboard equipment and a variety of other gear and apparel to enjoy the snow. Twenty percent of all sales go to benefit the UNR ski team foundation.
If you would like to sell your goods, they can be dropped off on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 1 to 8 p.m. or Friday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Unsold items must be picked up between 6 and 7 p.m. on Sunday. Up to 25 items can be sold, and each item must be sold for a minimum of $5.
Friday, Nov. 11, 6 – 10 p.m. adults: $12, children (6 – 12): $6, 5 and under: free
Saturday, Nov. 12, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. adults: $7, children (6 – 12): $4, 5 and under: free
Sunday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. adults: $7, all students free
* Sunday all students, armed services, police firefighters, ambulance workers and teachers are free.
* If you want to get ahead of the crowd, there is an early-bird special for $25, and you can enter the swap on Friday at 5 p.m.
