The sixth and final stage of the Freeride World Tour 2010 takes place in Verbier March 18-21, 2010, as part of the 14th edition of the Xtreme.
After criss-crossing the planet, from the USA to Russia via Japan and France, the world's best freeriders are qualified for an eagerly anticipated final: the Nissan Xtreme Verbier.
These professional riders, men and women in both ski and snowboard categories, will demonstrate their talent on the legendary Bec de Rosses, which reaches an altitude of 3222 metres.
Spectators who gather in Les Gentianes to witness one of the most impressive extreme sports events of the year can enjoy the non-stop adrenaline rush.
Freestyle fans who can't wait until March can check out Verbier Ride, one of the world's leading freestyle competitions, which hits Verbier Dec. 12-13. This skier cross discipline has become a recognised X-Games qualifier event and attracts many of Europe's top freeskiing athletes to complete in the designed course within the La Cheaux freestyle area.
The Verbier Ride is also the qualifier for the Orage European Freeski Open in Laax. This event brings together professional and amateur skiers each March to Grap Sogn Gion Mountain where disciplines include half pipe and slope-style for both men and women.
