Grand Targhee launched its 40th anniversary season over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. But visitors planning to come to Targhee later in the season can take advantage of the resort's 40th Anniversary Lodging Four-Packs.
The special four-night rates must be pre-purchased by Dec. 20, but the reservation can be used later in the season. The 40th Anniversary Lodging Four-Pack can be used for a four-night stay or two two-night stays or four single-night stays, all in slopeside lodges.
You can also purchase the four nights, but wait until later to make the reservation. Reservations, however, must be made within 14 days of arrival. The four-packs are not valid for use Dec. 24 - Jan. 2, Jan. 15 - 18, or Feb. 12 - 16. They also expire April 11, 2010 with no refunds granted for unused nights.
Lodging four-packs cost $249, plus Wyoming tax. The rate works out to $62.25 per night for staying in Targhee, Teewinot, or Sioux Lodges.
Reservations for lodging four-packs will be made in the best available rooms at the time of the reservation. The amount of your discount depends on the type of room available: A Sioux Lodge Loft Suite going for $269 per night will still only cost you $62.25. Nightly savings with the four-packs range $76 to $206, depending on the lodge and room type. Two-bedroom Sioux units are not available with the four-packs.
The resort has restrictions on the number of lodging four-pack reservations that are available, based on the percentage of reservations for requested dates and room types available. A photo ID at check-in must match the name on the four-pack reservation. The 40th Anniversary Lodging Four-Packs are available for purchase online and by phone.
