Ski Roundtop in Pennsylvania is offering $39 Learn to Ski or Ride packages from opening day to Dec. 24. That's up to $41 off the regular weekend rate. The mountain's ski school guarantees guests will be able to turn, stop, and ride a lift on the first day or money is refunded.

The program is for children starting at age 13 and adults who are first-time skiers or snowboarders. Sessions include a lift ticket, rentals, and a First Class lesson. The lift ticket can be used on the Revere's Ride Carpet lift, the Drummer Boy Quad chair and the Fife and Drum Triple chair. First Class packages typically cost $80 on weekends.

A similar program called Snow Rangers is offered for children 4-12 years old for $39. Snow Ranger packages cost $71 on weekends. Snow Ranger lessons are given at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. Reservations are not required but students must arrive at least 45 minutes prior to lesson time and purchase the lesson at least 30 minutes before.

Children and adults who complete the First Class lesson can purchase a Mountain Passport for $45. The Passport allows for a free First Time lesson on the next visit. Passport holders then get 45 percent off lift tickets, rentals and free class lessons on every subsequent visit.
