Villars-Gryon is celebrating Christmas early this year: Dec. 12-13 is the resort's opening weekend and not only are there discounts for the whole family, but Santa will also be popping in to celebrate with the children.
Villars-Gryon is offering children free ski passes, ski lessons, ski hire, and even a lunch time Skier's Plate at the altitude restaurants. Christmas is for the big kids too, so the resort is also offering ski passes, ski lessons, and ski hire for CHF10-25 for adults. For the event, these prices are valid both Saturday and Sunday.
A ski resort opening is a reason to celebrate with all sorts of party games. There will be activities on the pistes, music, contests, and other surprises, making the opening of Villars-Gryon a party for all ages.
Several hotels are also taking part in the festivities by offering low prices on accommodation. Children under nine years old can even stay for free.
With 225 kilometres of pistes set between 1300 and 3000 metres altitude, Villars-Gryon has something for skiers of all levels. Beginners enjoy some of the most beautiful summits of the Alps with plenty of terrain to choose from: 50 percent of Villars' pistes and 40 percent of Gryon's pistes are green (beginners' level).
