Grandvalira is kicking off the winter season with the launch of its new Web site. The revamped site will include additional features such as web-cams, videos, photographs, blogs, social networks, slope information, last-minute offers, and event listings.

Visitors will be able to customise and design their trip to the snow to get the most out of their experience. Using blogs and social networks, you can share experiences with a group and ask advice from fellow snow fans.

Grandvalira is also building new powder tracks for freestyle fans this winter, including Roc de la Poug, Canal Dels Maians, and Serrat dels Miquelets.

A new restaurant will also be opening its doors in El Tarter: 'El Mercat del Pi de Migdia' will specialise in serving skiers a choice of traditional, healthy Mediterranean flavours for the whole family.

Grandvalira is the largest ski area in Andorra. It boasts 193 kilometres of slopes set between 1710 and 2640 metres altitude. It is suitable for all levels of skier and snowboarder with 65 green runs, 89 blue, 85 red, and 47 black. This ski area, which is growing in popularity, has undergone many improvements in recent years including more snow canons, new lifts, and the addition of three snowparks.
